I, Jeffrey Pastrana Amuguis the son of Mr. Jerome
C. Amuguis and Mrs. Nicolasa A. Pastrana. My father in retired Electrician and my mother is an ex-Domestic Helper. I am the
eldest of their four children and I am proud having my family. We live in a happy family. We go to church during Sunday and
go to mall if there is time.
But since then, my parents always arguing and
I didn’t know what happened to them because I’m too young. They decided to separate and that was when I’m
in grade three. All of my brothers and sister go to the side of my mother. She took care of us; she takes all the responsibility
that my father’s give because he stops supporting us. So my mother decided to work abroad in order to give our needs
to support our daily financial especially in schooling.
I became the champion in running 100 meter dash
with hurdles 110 height in the whole Province of Oriental Mindoro.
I am also became a Southern Tagalog Regional Athletic Association (STRAA) player last 1997-1998 held at Sta. Cruz Laguna,
and a CHSAA player 1999-2000 held at Nasugbo Batangas.
It was to hard to live in a broken family because
when one of them needed to attend to school no one beside me especially when I have achievements receive like ribbons, medals,
certificate, etc. their not here.
When I finish my two years course Associate in
Technology Major in Electronics and my Electrical Tesda Training I immediately apply and work in Laguna. I work in Asia Brewery
for ten months as a custodian in two different building. One is in Two Piece Can and the second is in Water Rich.
When I was working in Laguna my Supervisor Mr.
Vincent Chua and my Boss Mr. Lorenzo Sy ask me. ”Why you work on this company? You should work in Techno Park because there is the job related
to your course”. Then I answer, I didn’t know that place because I live in here for the first time. They test
me to repair the damage TV on the Two Piece Can Warehouse. I repair the TV after wards my Boss give me an offer what if we
put up a business, you will manage and I will be the one to support in financial expenses. I didn’t accept his offer
because I’m shy. Since then, my Boss in my permanent backer he refers me to the Water Rich office and in Tanduay Sala
Cabuyao Laguna. The manager of Tanduay Mr. Albet Tan also tested me to repair his component. I successfully repair it and
he as all his worker in Tanduay Warehouse if who knows to cut hairs. Then I raise because I know how to cut hairs coz iam
the barber of my brothers and my neighbor. He likes my performance he always call me to trim his hairs. When I finish my contract
in Tanduay my Boss wanted me to go back in his office and work again but I left because I want to experience different kind
of job. I apply in Monde Nissin as a Maintenance Crew I am the preventive maintenance. I repair the machine from mixer, dough
roller, splitter, steamer, fryer, cooling section, and roof and exhaust fan of the building, and to the production area. When
I finish again my contract I decided to apply in Techno Park so that it will pit to my course but I didn’t hire because I am not qualify
to their standard height limit. I will only qualify if I’m an engineer because there is no height limit.
So, I went to manila to study and enroll again with a course of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at STI-College
Recto. It was to hard for me to study and memorize because I stop doing this for two years. But with the help of god and continuing
to pursue my studies I make it. Now, I’m 5th year student and became a back to back athlete of the year at
STI-College Recto.
